[First, a quick word of thanks to all who have responded to this post thus far. Your comments have been kind and a little humbling. Many of the comments and questions have received a response by PM but, MTF, yours was so galvanising (in a genuinely positive sense) that it seeemed worthy of further exploration in open forum].
This is a fascinating development MTF; it is a privilege to have been the catalyst for the expression of your opinion.
Whether or not we are on the same page, it is hugely refreshing to see opinions such as yours voiced so unambiguously. The phrase 'such as yours' works on both levels: first, it adverts to the fact that your view is representative of a school of thought which is not often ventilated, but which is nonetheless a wholly legitimate expression of opinion; second, it is a very important view because it is your view, and your credentials as an eminence grise in this field speak for themselves.
What is most intriguing, however, is the sense of a 'story', or 'history', behind your opinion. If that is the case, then it may be something to which others have not been privy or which others have missed by 'coming late to the party' but which would certainly be of interest to us. Can you tell us - will you tell us - why you see the KV as being imbued with 'honesty', but not so the PD (or FNTC ) ? Is it solely a visceral response, or is there more which informs that impression?
As they say, 'enquiring minds are keen to know...'
Cheers,
pplater.
