Audemars Piguet: What a great read

Thanks a lot, Daos, for this very vivid and entertaining article. You make excellent points for your "case", and your writing is full of charm and humour. Well done! And I praise you for acknowledging that the ROOs are not to everyone's taste. Sven

Horological Meandering: Oh yes

During the summer-time I often use my Certina DS Furious , especially on vacations. It's informal, cool, relatively inexpensive, yet very comfortable and of good quality. And the good thing is: You don't have to worry about setting or winding the watch. It's always ready to be worn. The quartz movem

Horological Meandering: I am with the other two gentlemen

The GO is a very attractive watch with a high degree of versatility. It seems highly wearable both as a formal dress-watch and as a daily watch at the office. However, I consider the RL to be more grail-ish, first of all because of its movement which has its equals among time-only movements on this

Independents: Standing ovations for Mr Prescher

He has created a watch, which manages to display an outstanding tourbillon, both technically and aesthetically - and!!! at the same time performing a highly functional, legible design, where you can easily tell the time. So many designs with excessive use of show-off tourbillons have neglected that

Independents: Congrats Vilit

A unique and luxurious time-piece by very kind and dedicated watchmaker. I have had the privilege of meeting Mr. Smith once, thereby trying two of his very first versions, and they are really very impressive. I love the classic English non-decoration of the movement, which also makes this watch very

Independents: Excellent photos of a superb watch

The Shimoda is such a daring piece. To create a watch so powerful and potent around a single hand display. I think perhaps this watch more than any other PSM reflects the subtle balance between old and new, tradition and ingenuity, masculinity and femininity. The photos are just ... bravo!

Independents: 31 and 32

Because the numerals fit with the watch. Which, unfortunately, cannot be said about those with raised markers and numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12. On those (alas, majority of) dials the numerals don't fit aesthetically. They are much too small and too neat for the otherwise masculine impression of the la
