Because the numerals fit with the watch. Which, unfortunately, cannot be said about those with raised markers and numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12. On those (alas, majority of) dials the numerals don't fit aesthetically. They are much too small and too neat for the otherwise masculine impression of the layout. This is balanced on no. 31, where there are no strong hour markers to compete with.
Otherwise there is a lot good to be said about Mr Habring and his excellent watches.

Thanks for the post, Kong! I'd love to see all these variations in person! The MOP dials are very elegant, as are the enamel. I think the blue and copper galvanic metal dials are my favorite at the moment! Cheers, Daos
