Impact is exerted when the watch is stopped from acceleration, the acceleration just before the impact is the a, the force exerted on impact correlates to mass. It takes much more force to stop your "Densitometrium" than Titanium during impact with the same acceleration (when you swing your wrist against the wall, you cause the watch to move at a fixed acceleration, you don't determine how much force is acted on the watch). The damage to an ordinary watch depends on two factors, amount of force and how fast the watch was put to a stop.
The Extreme World not only reduces the effective impact but also lengthen the impact time, both to ensure the watch not only survive, but survive most extreme activities without affecting the accuracy.
(An actual test result, self explanatory)
After talking to the international press corp, the wow factors were felt by most and the general feedback on the aesthetics, at least by those who have seen and felt the watch, was very positive.
Most of us tried on our wrists and did not find the watch too big. Of course, taste is highly subjective, and I suggest skeptics make their decision only after trying on the watch. A Singapore journalist friend was ecstatic and ordered one on the spot to be delivered to his retailer when it is ready - JLC received 7 (a huge percentage of the journalists present) firm orders from Journalists on the first day of presentation itself before even the second day technical presentation (there were more orders on the second day. - NOTE, Journalists did not ask for and will not receive prefrential treatment on orders - watches have to be delivered to the authorised retailers of their choice and NO direct sales form JLC).
On the last 2 weeks or so, selected retailers have visited Le Sentier to inspect the watch, the order books for the Extreme World is phenomenal, a reliable source told me that he has never seen such overwhelming response on a single model from Journalists and retailers before.
I know this will be a winner, although your guess is as good as mine.
