The use of Titanium and Stainless Steel (or Platinum) is functional, when you use 2 metals with different densities and properties, shock can be deflected, and hence reducing the potential shock to the movement.
The winding stem has a collar resting against the movement main plate ensuring movement interior is still protected. on external shock. Moreover, the crown rests against another collar of the winding stem, which itself rest against external side of the case.
(Wei tried to measure the shock, he gave it a big whack, seconds later, the measuring chart appears)
In Dubai during the media launch, a laptop version of shock testing machine were provided for all to try, journalists are invited to put on the watch, which was electronically connected to the laptop via fe electric cables.
(Measurements of shock resisted by the Extreme World.)
Journalists were aske to wear the watch and hit the watch as hard as possible against the table, the maximum measurements of just over 1000g was recorded.
Meanwhile on several occassions in Dubai, I got to wear up to a few hours each time, alternating between the Compressor Extreme World chrono and Compressor Chrono (sometimes both). the first cool thing about the watch is that, when one pushes down the Extreme World sapphire crystal from the top, one can actually feel the Titanium housing unit actually floating. and gradually returned to the original state.
