Kurt Klaus is not only a great watchmaker with passion but also a tenacious visionary. We laud the late Mr Blumlein (quite rightly) but look at what Herr Klaus did.

Even in the "Devastating Decade" (1970-80), when business cutbacks enforced 4-day working weeks, Herr Klaus would ask for the keys to the factory on the 5th day to develop the original 'Da Vinci' perpetual calendar "on his own time" i.e. free.

That, my PuristS friends - is Passion.

SJX: Thanks for the report.

I must check out the camera storage file to see if my photos can qualify for posting now smile

I still have the photos of my miserable watchmaking attempt and the wine/food.......

Regards,

MTF
