I did miss that one!

Wow.

Just wow.

These days...  The brands are being very difficult to work with.  The brands have a "public face" where the brand exhibits at a hotel.  This year Rolls Royce exhibited at a hotel in Carmel Valley and a "private face" where the exhibition is done in a much less public space, usually a rented residence.    Being a client is not enough to get into the private space, and one has to pay for a $20,000 package to be able to attend.  You're also totally committed to attending all of Rolls-Royce's events, and you don't get the time to visit other brands as they pack your schedule with Rolls Royce events morning, day, and night.

As a Rolls-Royce fan, I'd like to be with Rolls-Royce the entire weekend.  But I know that Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley, and to a lesser extent Lamborghini are the favorite marques here.  Not that many big Rolls-Royce fans here on WPS.  So I feel that it's important to not be fully committed to a single brand.   I presume this car was probably kept at the "private" area.  The car was shown at Quail, but this year, due to scheduling issues, I did not attend Quail.  And sadly, the car was not available to be seen at the Rolls Royce public hospitality area.  Apologies, just not a lot of good Rolls Royce coverage this year!  Please write to Rolls Royce Motor Cars PR department, and tell them you want to see more RR coverage on WatchProSite!  Maybe next year they'll give me a guided tour!

It's been a pleasure to meet so many WatchProSite members from all over the country (and a couple from different countries). Thank you so much for taking the time to meet! Some of us attended a special Bentley Motor Cars X The Macallan Scotch Whisky event...

Thank you! That is lot of car ๐Ÿญ!

I didn't take a lot of photos! There were some SINGER Porsches. Totally didn't take a single picture of any Mercedes vehicles - although I should've taken a picture of one of the Maybach vehicles - it was in an interesting color combination. Too many kids...

Thank you!

The highlight was meeting some interesting individuals! Lots of fun was had at the Bentley X The Macallan event.

I used to be a Ferrari fan!

I used to buy into the hype, Ferraris, Ferraris, pedigree, racing history, Lamborghinis don't win races and the company doesn't really sponsor a race team (until recently). But after driving the Aventador and the Huracan I was just so impressed, the cars ...

You're close by you know...

Which one is your favorite Aquaracer1?

Something tells me you're a fan of pre-war cars like Rolls-Royce Phantom IIs and Mercedes-Benz SS 540K models. And post war sports cars...

Of this bunch

Has to be the yellow Lambo for me please ๐Ÿ™‚

Ahh! I was way off!

Yeah, that car looked good! Supposedly it's ELECTRIFIED! A V12 engine with an electric motor in the flywheel between the engine and the transmission! Personally, I'd prefer an all V12 engine car. But I'm told it drives really well and that you don't reali...

Aha!

Like you, my preference is for 100% ICE. Some of my buddies own Tesla and Rivian, and are all about it. But I just canโ€™t get behind all electric yet. I will likely be a slow convert, hey maybe in 10 years or so, but I doubt it ๐Ÿ˜‚

I own a Tesla! It's not terrible! Not perfect, but livable.

I own a Tesla and while the brakes are terrible, and the gas pedal isn't hinged on the floor, and the glass isn't hydrophobic, and there's a lot of road/tire noise on certain pavements. There are a few other small problems too. But overall, despite all of...

...and as an aside, as a golfer it is really weird to see a bunch of cars (however beautiful) lined up on the fairways of the most famous golf course in the world : )

I know, what a perfect way to ruin a golf course!

All those tires leave divots and impressions. Better not be on any putting greens.

Excellent Coverage!

Thank you for that and I hope you had a memorable time.

Oh, this is really mediocre coverage!

 By: patrick_y : August 22nd, 2023-00:56
But thank you for saying so! I used to have more organized coverage and car reviews with each brand. But partially due to the pandemic, the loss of PR connections over the years due to the pandemic, the new way that Pebble Beach car week has become organi...
