Strap changing tool for gold watches?
Searching for a strap changing tool recently, all of the ones I've seen appear to have steel tips. I would have assumed there would be tools with softer tips for gold watches to avoid scratches? What do you all use for changing a strap on a gold watch?

...assuming your watch doesn't have visible lug holes on the outside (?)
Bergeon and Horofix make a 'tweezer' like tool that, although the tips are steel, should avoid scratching the lugs if used properly
The Bergeon version is very good but …
I would still tape the lugs for protection first. The Bergeon takes care and practice for best results. If in doubt get a watchmaker to do it.

But ever think about a good watchmaker that can switch a watch strap on any watch?
