NUBEO Jellyfish in real life tough, dirty, and everything..3 months daily wear

Jul 03, 2008,18:01 PM

These pictures were taken about 10 mins ago, and up loaded by wireless internet.

Breakfast.

Oily hawker center, food crumbs, table top with dirt..

natural light, no tripod, no cleaning, no photoshop.

The watch...I have worn this EVERYDAY for about 5 to 10 hours a day. Few days off...less than 10 days off the wrist. I switch watches with the Nubeo after lunch each day. Two watches worn at all times. Today, a Panerai Subenersible C series Titanium.

The Nubeo is more than a match for the Panerai. It takes the scratches and bumps and possible dents mUCH better due to the rubber and resin type inserts and bezel.

They use resins, not rubber, the wear resistance is very high.

Cleaning dust off is easy..use soap and water.

The Panerai I had..it dents and scratches much more easily. But it also costs half the price of a Nubeo.

Note the wear and tear has not aged the watch at all!!!

I would highly recomend the black version of this watch without the camo colors.

I have too many watches, so I chose one with camo.

The case is an incredible constrct of parts..why???

It is to maximise wearer comfort. with the complex curves in 3 planes..there was no choice, if quality of case edges and lines were to be preserved..ie in my view, I cannot accept poor edges and finish on a case. For a watch of this price..ie Patek Aquanaut price..it MUST have superb finish. The Nubeo delivers 100%!!!

Endo and exi skeletal elements serve to curve the watch strap to fit with almost the smallest wrists for maximum comfort.

It works..100%.

It takes alot of courage to buy this over a Patek or say a Hublot. these watches are very rare, and also damned well made!!!

They are the ultimate conversation pieces at this price. Go one step higher..and it reaches the GEFICA..see Tony P's post on Genta.

Here are the real life pics of what I was doin while these pics of the Nubeo were taken..just to add in the "reality" factor.

Note the cheap camera I use from the 1999's..hehe

Here is what the case is made of.

Note that the 7750 movement inside still has the chrono parts!!! Cool!!

Should be a great weekend outdoor watch. Looks cool and fun. You should have a shot of the watch on the hawker wrist while he is frying his food. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Jim

Wish I had this when I was in the army

I tested it in Madrid several month ago. The same 7750 without the chrono function. Nice design and confortable watch but not my cup of tea. Fr.Xavier...

This Nubeo needs a bezel with numbers on it. I agree.

Last year, I treid this one, and I did not get the same feel as today's version..called the "black jellyfish".

Hi, i just got a nubeo camo yesterday, and i found that my nubeo camo lugs and case is in polish steel and not brushed as in the pictures from what i see. Is it this watch has 2 version ? the only brushed parts of my watch is in the numbers (index) , buck...

The Nubeo you have is excellent

The polished steel version you have is tougher than my brushed version...when I first got mine, the polished one was not available. The polished steel hides scratches better.

Thanks Bernard !
