Chopard fete

Nov 02, 2007,09:32 AM

Thanks, Kong,
I visited the Chopard Manufacture in the spring with the TimeZone tour and was very very impressed!
Peter Wehrli and his assistant Susan were wonderful to us and everyone had a terrific time. Unfortunately they didn't allow any photos.
But I was so impressed by the quality of the workmanship and dedication that I now own 5 Chopards including the limited edition steel wings tourbillon in palladium made for the US market. It was the closest thing I saw to the quality one finds with the independents watchmakers.
Hopefully, I'll have some pics up soon.
I had my tongue a bit in my cheek about Mr. Scheufele. I have seen other photos of him and he has immaculate taste in clothes, very classy and elegant.
I wish I could look half as good!
BTW I was in Singapore in December 1969 for several weeks. That was in the days when there was a Bugis Street with the celebrations at Christmas time smile  Much has changed, I know. I did buy my first decent watch there, an Omega Speedmaster Pro (long gone)

Regards,
Joseph

Perfect suits with TimeWerke magazine (photos)

 By: MTF : November 2nd, 2007-09:58
I'm sorry but your comments must be due to the poor light at the dinner reception because in normal lighting, these are the Scheufeles immaculately turned out in sartorial elegance just before the reception. Signing the TimeWerke magazine with Chopard wat...

Hi HW Welcome to the Chopard Forum. The RRP should be SGD 66K. Kong

Thank you

Thanks for replying Kong. I don't think Chopard will be launching a stainless steel version one find day? How do you compare Chopard's LUC Chrono One with IWC's Da Vinci Chronograph? Both are in-house movements. Da Vinci's totaliser is interesting as it a...
