conventional subdate or LV?
Jul 18 2008,16:59 PM

On a lark I'm considering a dive watch.  For reasons I can't fully explain, I'm drawn to the LV, though my wife hates it.  Any thoughts on the Kermit?  Thanks in advance.  - Jon

I love the Kermit

it's a great watch, a true  Sub YET NOT like the rest!

When discontinued (very soon!) it will become one of the rarest ever Rolex Subs.

And I just like how strange and eccentric the green is. The lume, if you are a lume-nut, is the best lume of any watch I've ever owned.

It delivers totally on the sportwatch level, it is strong, durable, go-anywhere--and it's fun and sort of kooky, being green, but I really love mine, and it's been almost a year now--(that's 25 years on non watch collector time).

LOL..;Like 99 % of us, why not considering this Kermit Sub, instead of a Normal one?

Here's mine, in nice company... Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us How can we say no to this lovely, and appealing Green Sub??? Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Go on it, my friend, and for once, don't listen to the wife, she's wrong...LOL Best. Nicolas

I love them both.  And as for the disagreement between you and my wife, all I can say is that the French are right again in all matters of art!  - Jon

KERMIT SUB!
Jul 20 2008,23:02 PM

why?

because the maxi dial of course,

if you/wife does not like the green a black bezel can be bought for 70$ and can be fitted to the watch with ease... and when you feel green is more appropriate then u can switch back at ease...

but either way, with either bezel.. you will still have the MAXI dial.
