Cool pics Bruno! What are your thoughts on the PAM289?
Jul 12 2008,09:48 AM

The only time I've seen one in person was for a few minutes at SIHH 2007, and I wish I had a chance to strap it on my wrist to see how presence it has on the wrist.

Cheers,
Anthony

I'll tell you within a few weeks
Jul 12 2008,14:42 PM

I'll wear this Panerai in the near future but since Patrick only has it a few days I could not ask to borrow it already  LOL

The only thing I can say now is that it feels and looks great

Patrick? you'll better answer the question

(and the question about the strap)

I'll answer ...
Jul 12 2008,16:27 PM

...I have it for a week now and from all the watches I possesed lately I can tell that this one makes my heart beat faster !!!

the simplicity of the dial in combination with the satin finish of the case gives it a sporty look, not to flashy IMO, but still remarkable by the combination of the gold with the brown dial.

Accuracy is top also,  +5 sec in 7 days !!!!

I'll give it a better review after a few weeks as I'll take the watch out on vacation including some swimming an I'll probably put

it on a rubber strap than!

Pat

It`s a gem !!!
Jul 12 2008,10:08 AM

The rose gold brushed case and polished bezel of the 289 really makes the watch stands out.

Thanks for the close ups..

Cheers,

the strap
Jul 12 2008,16:17 PM

the strap is an OEM Panerai BROWN BUFFALO with beige stitching

ref.=MX005FMW    24/22 BA 115/75  for those who are interested,

I bought the same one in all black, (it's the strap you can see on the Luminor monopulsante GMT in ceramic)

real nice material altough I fear it's gonna be delicate on scratches, the surface has a suede touch!

but the brown one realy does fit very well on the 289 as it matches exactly the colour of the dial !
