Any spotted in the field yet?
Jul 18 2008,14:32 PM
Dear forumners, I found these "old photos" on my computer hard disk.....
Any hands-on impressions or wrist shots? Particularly for the chronograph that looks so elegant. And.....do they actually sell any of those mother-of-pearl and diamond watches? I've never seen one on-the-wrist yet....or am I not moving in the right circles? Regards, MTF |

Cal.49 in steel???
Jul 21 2008,12:22 PM
I just love the GO Senator sixties and also the chronograph mighty sweet. But your story about a cal.49 manual wind even got me more exited... if that appears in a steel case! Fingers crossed indeed |

G O has proven that it can be done . . .
Jul 22 2008,09:52 AM . . . as evidenced by the white gold version seen below . . .
. . . so it's really a matter of allocating resources . . . I would think that a cal 49 Senator Sixties would be a runaway hit not just with G O fans but with the community at large because of the unobscured view into the movement . . . cordially, Art |

A week ago, I put a RG 1878 Moritz Grossmann on my wrist
Jul 19 2008,18:38 PM
in Connecticut. I simply like the design and the finish, and frankly speaking, it looked more appealing on the wrist than the Manfredi Limited Edition with a Meissen dial. But I eventually didnt pick up the former simply because of its automatic movement. Although I have PML and Senator Meissen on my wrist more often than any other manually winding GO watches, I still try to give priority to manual movements. In addition to its classic case design and onion crown (these two are my all-time favourites), I must say that the specially-finished white dial and the "over-sized" subdial of second are really cool! I always prefer GO watches to have second hand in order to show off how accurate they can be. Unfornately, the Senotor Meissen doesnt have one, nor the Manpredi Limited Edition. What a pity! Well, I think I better stop here, otherwise I may change my mind. I am currently sitting at the airport in Lima, waiting for my flight to New York and I believe that RG 1878 should still be there...... Have a nice weekend! Zhiming |

I quite agree

Zhiming, The german movements lend themselves better to manual wind than rotors etc obscured by 3/4 plates. Thanks for your observations. I'm betting that your resolve crumbled
