Sport Evolution
Jul 09 2008,13:46 PM

Just added a Sport Evolution Panodate to my small collection.  I have a Senator Navigator Pano and I was so impressed with it  that I just had to have the Evo.  I can not get over how wonderfully crafted these timepieces are.  The bracelet is a work of art and is very comfortable.  I traded an IWC and Omega towards the G.O. and could not be happier.  Thank you all for such an informative forum!

As Jocke and so many others have found, the Sport Evo offers . . .

. . . a high level of thoughtful engineering with regards to both the Panodate large date display and the exceedingly comfortable and easily adjustable bracelet. When you consider the intrinsic quality of their in-house cal 39 automatic movement which exhibits especially stable performance, the Sport Evo is probably the only manufacture sports watch that competes on an even level with comparable Rolex models and comes out ahead aesthetically without conceding mechanical integrity. Good choice of both watch and log-in name ;-) . . . cordially, Art

This GO SE is a very nicer diving watch, maybe a bit too " jewel" maybe less tool watch.

Just another philosophy...

But not less interesting, IMO.

Best.

Glashütte Original may not be the first manufacturer that comes to mind when the subject of sports/activity watches comes up, but aside from Rolex, I can think of precious few that manufacture their own movements with comparable pricing and value . . . cordially, Art

drool
Jul 21 2008,12:32 PM

Thanx for making me drool all over the keyboard again ;-)

This Sports Evo line struck me when i tried it on my wrist. Before i ever tried it on i never gave it too much attention... but the minute i had it on my wrist i immediately felt it was something different. The finish of the case and bracelet are the best i've ever felt and it fits around the wrist like no other dive watch i've tried.

Although i just love my old SD, it is actually no comparrison... the GO Sports Evo has perfect finish and sheer quality... but the 1665 has heritage that can't be met by the Sports Evo. I won't part from my SD, but if i had to choose a great dive watch with enough looks for an office environment the GO Sports Evo would make an excellent choice.
