At about 2:15pm, the guests were coming in.
At the entrance, was greeted by the countdown display panel to the Beijing Olympic.
One of the Omega experts on stand-by. Let's proceed to view the exhibits ............ (L) Anemometer to measure wind assistance before record times are ratified (R) OMEGA Electric cell (OEC3) from 1969
OMEGA Photosprint (OPS1) from 1963 with ALPA camera and world's first zoom lens OMEGA Swim-O-Matic (OSM5) from 1977, incorporating acoustic
transducers (pistol shot), mechanical transducers (touch pads and
starting blocks), optical transducers (video) and electronic data
processing. OMEGA Starting Block (OSB9 )from 2002 that detect starts or false starts OMEGA (OCP) touch pads from 1967 that respond to swimmers' touch but not water splashes
Cyclops photocells (2005) Visitors can try to beat-the-clock by breaking the optical beams with their hands
2:30pm, the place was about to be packed! Now for some timepieces .............. World's first - 5 sub-counter chronograph wrist watch including 7
days counter in additon to the usual hours - minutes - seconds elapsed
and running seconds displays. Unfortunately, this is not a 7-days going
