My first look at the Project Alaska ...
Jul 08 2008,20:47 PM

Hi Everyone...

I had a chance to play with 001 of the Project Alaska watch back in March at a Basel in NYC event.. Sorry i have not had a chance to post photos of it before now... I will put a post together with all the photos I took. I have to say thanks to an Omega rep for lending me a camera as my battery died in mine that day. i know the photos are sub standard. In my defense, first time i used that brand camera and second it battery was also failing ... So I had to take the photos quickly...

First thing I noticed ...

it comes with a white and a black rubber, velcro strap and a steel bracelet!

A spring bar tool , and extra spring bars in the Red anodized tubes !!! It is stored under the "Red CAN" ....

and more shots...

And a wrist shot for your viewing pleasure..

I know it is hard to tell from the photos but I really like the Project Alaska ...

Looking forward to getting one..

Good Hunting

This is a funny and not common Speed, this Project Alaska in an all white dial, and these weird but funny hands ( counters)..
I love!
With the white or black strap, this is a special watch to wear, indeed.
Will havbe to see one in the flesh before deciding anything on it...But it may be my 1st Speed, and my 2d Omega! LOL
Best.

I only discovered it due to Vernon at the London GTG but I will be seeing one at my dealer when it arrives (August he was told by Omega) so hopefully it looks good in the flesh..!!

Thanks for the additional pics,

Andy.

Will you ....really?

Hey Bill S,

Will you really get one?  I know these things are quite addictive and there is some "history" involved with the stop-go project with a big gap from prototype to production.  It does 'complete' the collection

See previous photos from Basel ....... click here

Regards,

MTF
