Understanding the Menu list options

Help Desk:  myView  |  List All  |  Top Level  |  Recent  :  (posts)   *  |  FAV

All of these are based on the Forum you are in.

List All – This gives you in reverse chronological order all threads and their response which is the most basic of views.

Top Level – This gives you in reverse chronological order all threads collapsed without responses so you can get a broader view. You also have the number of replies to that post in brackets like this (3 Replies), the name of the person who last updated a response to that thread together with the date of their response.  Again the order of the threads is the same as List All all reverse chron by thread origination date.

Most Recent – This gives you condensed view of threads just like the Top Level view on the sort order of the threads is modified to give you the threads by the most recently update thread rather than when the thread was created. This means if someone responded to a thread that was three days old, it would appear first on the list.  This helps to surface ongoing conversations.

(posts) - This gives you most recent response and threads by date not nested.  Threads are in bold and posts are not.  Clicking on any links takes you directly to the thread in an open view with the response highlighted in the list below the post.

*
- This a very powerful view that cross all Forums and gives you the latest posts and threads across all forums.

myView - This is the same as the above * feature but only displays posts and threads in the forums you have selected in the quick forum tabs at the top of your screen below the grey pull-down menus. (To customize which forums are displayed in the quick tabs at the top, click on the "edit" tab and check the forums you want shown and uncheck the forums you want removed and then click on save)

FAV - This is your favorites list.If there are any individual threads that which to continue to track.  Or threads that you have originated and want easy access to review posts against them add them to your FAV.  To add threads click on the checkmark next to the thread title in either the TOP Level or Most Recent views.  The check is the last item on the right of the thread.

We hope you enjoy and take advantage of these very powerful views.
