Hello all.  I just joined the site today.  I'm in the market for a Mille Miglia GMT 15/8992/3.  Here in NYC, I can purchase the watch at either the boutique or Tourneau for approximately $XXXX.  On a handful of websites, however, the price is just over $X,000.  These sites include XXX and XXX These seem like legitimate sites, and I understand that when you do purchase from these sites that you do not get the manufacturer warranty.  However, these sites often give warranties of their own.  Should I pay more and get it from Chopard or Torneau for extra peace of mind, or save the money and go online?  Any help would be appreciated....

Understand there are difference in prices between a brick & mortar Boutique and the internet/online eshops, which is extremely tempting .

I'm not sure if the pieces are new or pre-owned.  From what you mentioned, the online shops provide the warranty. It is of no use if the warranty is not back by the manufacturers. Should any incident happens, I doubt you've any recourse. Furthermore, there are some replicas or counterfeits around.

I would prefer to have the peace of mind getting from either the Chopard Boutiques or their Authorised Distributors.

For slightly more $$ to buy from boutique or AD, it comes with an International Warranty Card which provides u a piece of mind that whenever u need help?
