That's my watch!
Jul 01 2008,07:17 AM

Fantastic watch. I saw the exact watch you are wearing at the AD in Maastricht, but waited to long with my decision (I was choosing between the BP Aqualung, some JLC Master Control watches and also some IWC's). You have to believe this; the moment I saw your pictures of the Aqualung on this forum I made my decision and called the AD in Maastricht. You already know what his message to me was.... the watch was sold. So the great people there offered me to contact Blancpain and search the probably only Aqualung (2100) left. Two weeks ago I got the phonecall I was waiting for; there was one Aqualung left in stock in Switzerland (well that's what the told me, there could also be a few hundred left over there smile. So I ordered this in my opinion amazing looking watch and hope to collect it in about two weeks. Of course I am looking forward to be cruising over the (Dutch) highways the way you are doing. Thanks for helping me decide with your post on this forum!

Kind regards,

Jacob

Cannot wait to the arrival of mine in a few weeks time. I'm still afraid to get a call they made a mistake and the watch isn't available after all. Thanks for another great picture Flere.

This is a very interesting watch

Quite original, should I say...

A clean dial, as a military watch, but in a dressy case...

Nice blend!

Best.

Nicolas

Hello Yipsir,

Some party going on here. That is a fine watch too. I saw both the AL and the AL Grand Date in the flesh and had to make a tough decision. Eventually I decided to go for the 1 of 1999 and thus 38 mm version. The smaller size and 100 hours power reserve did it for me, but now I am confused again seeing the picture of your outstanding AL. Well in the end you cannot go wrong with either of these gems I guess. Thanks for sharing your picture and wear your AL in good health. Hope to show a picture of mine soon!

Kind regards,

Starman
