Cartier Tortue XL
Has a day/night indicator (Day=sun & Night=moon) which also acts as a dual time.  Available in either pink gold or white gold.

Tank Louis Cartier
Hours is at 6 o'clock & minutes at 12 o'clock.  Available in white gold and yellow gold.

Cartier Tourbillon Rotonde
Retrograde hours are on the left and minutes on the right.  Tourbillon at 6 o'clock and 25 numbered pieces available in Platinum.

Cheers,
Anthony

Really interesting designs…
Jul 02 2008,15:23 PM

Hi Anthony

Cartier have consistently come out with interesting pieces in the last couple of years and the case design and finishing looks excellent as do the movement details.

I like the day-night indicator in the Tortue XL and the ability to use it as a second time zone is a great idea, although the final design is not quite as appealing to me as the Rotonde Day and Night Watch with retrograde minutes from last year.

Very elegant and pure and clearly recognisable as being from the house of Cartier.

Thanks

Andrew

Still more choices but not quite right

Thanks for the update.

The current Mrs MTF and I like the Tortue shape......for any Cartier CPCP watch.

The  Rotonde Day and Night Watch (retrograde minutes) from 2007 had most gorgeous Sun-Moon display but this new graphic looks a bit cartoon-like.

So, Cartier - pretty please - can we have the Tortue case but the more elegant (and probably more craftsmanship=expensive) Sun-Moon engraving from before for the new Tortue Day & Night line?

Pretty please?

Tend to agree with you, MTF

among all the Cartier Watches, the tortue line is my favourite...But as you, I'm waiting for a more elegant design, maybe.

One was terrific, The Tortue CPCP Chrono Monopusher, with Roman numbers, just 12 and 6...

I cannot put my hand on a nice photo of this model, but I was really in love with this watch I never owned although.

Best.

Not bad, either, MTF

Yep, very nice.

But the dial I saw with only 6 and 12, was maybe more balanced, and I surprised myself  to fall in love with a Cartier watch!

Best.

MTF, I agree, too. The rotonde sun-moon retrograde is definitely prettier.... :-) NT

Thanks for posting the new models Anthony

Especially the Tank XL is really new for me.
Same movement as the Tank a Vis I guess.
Must say that the concept works well in the LC Tank XL case.

It's not a piece from SIHH 2008 or SIHH 2007
Jul 06 2008,10:51 AM

because I didn't see it during those 2 years, so it must be an earlier piece.  Sorry don't know much about Cartier watches sad

Cheers,
Anthony
