More Paparazzi: Concord C1 Retrograde Ti
May 13 2008,10:16 AM

Our operative in Bangkok, 'Thai Rider'  has been trailing the Concord entourage and has reported in..........

The 'package' landed in BKK today.

Concord C1 Retrograde in titanium

Demonstration piece. Not in any Baselworld 2008 press kits.

Launch end-2008.

Some changes expected: Hand of power reserve and day of week display.

Want one?

[Left] Concord C1 Retrograde -- wait till end-2008 for launch -- unknown piece yet.

[Right]: Concord C1 Tourbillon -- Only if you have the money and can wait.

One may have found a home in Singapore -- No surprises there!  Delivery -- June 2008.

Thanks to 'Thai Rider' for the scoop.

Enjoy,

MTF

I don't think I like the design of C1 Retrograde
May 13 2008,14:51 PM

The day of the month subdial at 3 o'clock is very distracting IMO.  I think it would be better if the 3 and 9 o'clock subdials were swapped around, that way the writing for the day of month retrograde would be towards the outer dial rather than near the center of dial.

With the way how it is now, my eye does not focus at all at the 3 o'clock side since it's all empty space, so the watch looks unbalanced IMO.

Cheers,
Anthony

LIke it much better than the Double-Retrograde shown in Basel ...

Generally, retrograde dates seem to be very fashionable nowadays, but what might still be legible on a high-magnification macro shot blown up to full screen size, is practically invisible in real, on the wrist. I am therefore not really fond of retrograde date displays. Besides the torubillon, my personal favourite of this year's Concord novelties still is the World Timer.

Best regards,
Marcus

That looks like a scoop

Don't recall ever having seen that watch before.

I still don't like the styling though.
