So you like the AP movement but not the ROO case.......

Check out the Chanel J12 in black ceramic and 18K yellow gold Equipped with Audemar Piguet base 3120 movement renamed as the Calibre Chanel - AP 3125 What a deal Chanel made! I wonder what they brought to the negotiation table? What did AP want so badly that they would swap their precious base movements for? Could it be Chanel's ceramic technology that will eventually make it's way into the next AP Royal Oak Offshore Limited Edition? Is that the special, yet to be announced stealthy....shhhhhh [censored] model? The rotor is in black ceramic

We are PuristS, aren't we?

It has one of the top quality movements, ceramic case (like EOD and some of the ROO only has ceramic bazel) and good design. Of course, it is relatively cheaper than AP. Why would we be bothered by the name of "Chanel"? After all, we are not buying it for resale value. And with such a good movement and corrosive proof case material and affordable price, it looks like this is the watch to be considered to keep for the next generation.

Exactly my point: Some don't like the Offshore case

I like AP but the recent Offshore LE are getting ridiculous in size and price so people are looking for the movement (excellent) in a hardier case (ceramic) ta-daa! Chanel J12 Ceramic-Clad Red Gold, anyone?
