Tour of Independence Dinner in Singapore - Roger Smith, Vianney Halter & Kari Voutilainen
Jul 14 2008,05:09 AM

Two weeks ago The Hour Glass held its annual Tour of Independence event to showcase the fine works of leading independent watchmakers. Roger Smith, Vianney Halter and Kari Voutilainen were present, along with their best works. This report details the Singapore leg of the tour, a dinner at the excellent Garibaldi restaurant along Purvis Street.

Arrgghh..how can you guys be "distracted" by the watches!
Jul 14 2008,16:39 PM

There were too many beautiful women around.

I didn't even look at the watches...and..OK..who used to say that cars draw more women than flashy watches?

Now, although the watch has not yet "broadly" attracted chicks to the guys wearing them, I think the quality of the women..both in looks and sexy minds, are sort of more in the watch partise than the car ones.

Believe me, I have been comparing...hehe. A subject for more debate!

I think that AHCI watches with "flash" draw more chicks than the mainstream ones with "cash". Say MBF1 versus Patek Tourbillon.
