I found my De Bethune!
Jul 04 2008,11:28 AM

Well, I didn't buy it already, but I found it.

This is the DBS Sport...

I' m insanely in love with, while seeing pics.

So I decided today to pay a visit to an AD who gave me a phone call to tell me that he had one in stock.

Here's the beast. ( Sorry for the bad pics, but the light was just catastrophic )...

The watch is very big, with a crazy design, but also a nice sporty and unbelivable look!

The shape of the case, the bezel, the dial, the hands all is so strongely and nicely design than the whole watch is very coherent!

Here a pic in the nautral light, to get a faithful idea of the normal color of the watch...

Besides this extraordinary look, the movement is also interesting...

Nicely build, it presents something very particular..The possibility to set the rotor, if you want to practice your favourite sport, with your watch...

Innovative, and very well thought!

And on the wrist, a special pleasure, indeed...

Wow, I really love it!

Believe me, go to your AD and try one, this is an unfergottable experience, but a dangerous one, too.

I just have to check, well, negociate with my banker, now! LOL

Best.

If I were a strong man.....

That is one of those watches I just love, and cannot wear.  At our last GTG in Boston, one made the rounds, and I was just enthralled. To give you an idea, between it and the Roger Smith Series 2, I'm not sure which I played with more! The problem is, it is just too large for me. It fit well for a piece that large, but alas for me(and hooray for my balance sheet), it still dwarfed me.
So get one and enjoy it for me wink

The DBS is a stunning watch.

But the main feature of this watch is that it contains all the Denis Flageollet's skills and maestria.

The ability to select the efficiency of the winding system is awesome. The technical solutions is different BTW  from Baumgartner's one used in the Urwerk 202.

Here is 2 shots :

Know what, Foversta?

This DB reminds me the UN Freak...In the philosophy of the watch, innovative and original.

That's certainly why I love it so much.

Best.

I freaked out on that one too. I'll tell you why I personally went no further than the picture-stage. The word Power on the dial just made me think of a sportsdrink or a  monster truck. It just does not belong on a fine watch, sayeth I.

Now...
Having said that--that DB is a HELLUVA COOL watch. And so inventive. And so so so... DB!

But this one is very close.

Yes, the writing is always something you have to avoid, but, hey, only 5 letters won't make me go away from it.LOL

Just have to negociate, now...As my banker is showing me his teeeth! LOLOL

Best.
