Thanks, Rob. I definitely will post pics.

It's nothing like the two Grand and Petite Sonneries that are being auctioned within a day of each other, but a AHCI creation nonetheless.

It's YOU.
You are BIDDING AGAINST ME!!!!!
I'm so MAD at you....you have so many goodies already.
This one should be MINE smile
Congrats Allen...I was just thinking who's the lucky guy who snatch the VH from me.
I feel good to know that it's you.

Really?
May 11 2008,16:53 PM

I almost missed this one...I was looking elsewhere when my daughter pointed at the screen and commented that the price was not bid up very high for this one.  I turned my attention back to the screen and immediately saw that it was the VH.   I quickly clicked once and there wasn't another bid!  I thought I was dreaming.    The second to last bidder was in the room, I thought.   Were you there?  Thanks for not bidding up the price then!  This piece belongs within the Purist community for sure.

I was really lucky that you were away..
May 11 2008,19:45 PM

It would have been a costly "fight".

You got it.  You have the first right of refusal!

I'm sure my wife would enjoy this one too.  I just need to find the right strap for it.  I think they might withhold the strap due to CITES.

I was trying to get the Dornblueth 99.3
May 12 2008,10:37 AM

Unfortunately, someone else was willing to go a bit higher.  Surprisingly, it sold for more than the Rose Gold 99.2 eventhough the 99.2 was the more expensive watch..

Wowow, Big congrats, Allen
May 12 2008,13:27 PM

Some friends of mine won at this auction some very nice watches, too...

Sems it wasn't my lucky day, as I was planning to bid on the Langematik Anniversary...

But no trouble, as normally I have to receive quite soon another very nice watch, if all works fine...

Congrats again, my lucky friend...Very happy for you!

Best.

Nicolas

Congrats Allen! Doesn't it feel good to win an auction at a good price?
May 12 2008,09:41 AM

Reminds me of when I won my PAM21 on auction, and the feeling was unreal!

Congrats on the win and hope it doesn't take too long to get the watch in your hands!

Cheers,
Anthony

Yes it does!
May 12 2008,09:57 AM

It's even more unreal when all you do is a click of a finger!  I remember you writing about your experience very well. I wonder how it feels to face the losing bidders afterwards? smile  I still have to check out your PAM21!

thanks!

The Classic Janvier is the perfect size although it costs 10 times more, I think.
