Harry Winston has released two special perpetuals
Jul 16 2008,00:27 AM

20th anniversary of the Premier Excenter Perpetual Calendar

A limited edition of 20 pieces.

The original Excenter Perpetual Calendar's design has been kept intact.

The watch is obviuosly a bow to heritage, and it is well deserved.

The originals have rarely, or ever. come up in the secondary market.

The original perpetual is an important watch and the quintessential Harry Winston

The symmetrical design and the art deco case complement each other very well. In my mind that is the quintessential Harry Winston (along with the solid platinum Ocean diver's watch of about 10 years ago), and not any of the Opus series. The fact that the original perpetual was done by Dubuis and Wiederrecht makes it an important timepiece too in terms of industry personalities and the development of complications.
