Finally online again ...
Jul 16 2008,09:51 AM

Dear friends,

I sincerely apologize for my longtime silence, but, unfortunately, my computer had decided to go on a very mean strike nearly a month ago. Apparently, I insulted its criminal character by legalizing a Windows system that had been installed before, but apparently was pirated. So I purchased Michrosoft's authentification package, and from that time on, problems started. After regularly crashing, the system suddenly did not permit any online access, nothing, nada. No web, no e-mail. Since I could not use my office computer for private purposes due to the work strain (it's exam time at the university), I was completely unable to do something here in the forum.

I then made a re-install of Windows from scratch, which worked even stranger, since it permitted online access only via the clumsy MS Internet Explorer, while neither Firefox, nor Mail program, nor anything else could access the web. IN my helpless efforts to find the fault, I replaced the ethernet connection of my DSL box with an USB cable, which had the effect that not even the MSIE connection worked. Frustrated, I reconnected the ethernet cable, re-installed the mainboard network drivers, and without expecting something other than a "could not access that webpage"-message, I landed here!

So I have risen from my virtual online grave, and hope that my computer does not have any other unpleasant surprises for me ...

With kind regards,
Marcus
