Happy New MMD owner
Jul 04 2008,16:22 PM

Hi folks,

I'm new to this board and I'm a very happy owner of my first UN (a MMD).  I've been eyeing this watch for 2 years and finally pulled the trigger a few days ago.   After much deliberation I opted for the silver face and steel bracelet.   I must say that I couldn't be happier.

I've always had a thing for watches, but will admit I didn't know what a real watch was until a couple years ago.  I went through the Movado, Tag, Omega trail and then I was ready for a "real" watch. Of course, not knowing much a few years ago, Rolex was my first thought.  That was until I saw and tried on this watch.  That's when my research began--gotta love the Internet.  It didn't take much research or time before I realized which I was going to buy. I know I made the right choice and this is a watch I plan to have for the rest of my life.

Knowing what I know now compared to what I knew (or didn't know) a couple years ago, it brings a smile to my face when someone says "I've never heard of that brand."  Please enjoy some pictures below of my new purchase and favorite watch.

PS: If any owners have any advice or recommendation for a new owner, I would appreciate a reply.

The MMD is a great watch.  I have had mine for about 7 months and I love it.  UN is a great brand.  I own Rolex, IWC, and Breitling and UN right up there with all them.  Enjoy the watch.  Oh and here is mine......

And thanks a lot for your presentation.

Always a pleasure to welcome some Watchlovers like you!

About your UN, this is indeed a beautiful one, and one of those which are in relation with the past of UN, who delivered for the Marine some Marine Chronometers in wooden boxes.

I love a lot the style, the design of your watch.

Looking forward to read you more often, nnow that you belong to the family...LOL

Best.

Nicolas

my recommendation!!!!

buy the blue rubber strap so you can swap between the two. I have the same watch as you and recently added the blue rubber strap. I wear the SS during the week, and the rubber strap on the weekends out having fun. It's like having two different watches. The blue strap on this watch looks fantastic.

Thanks for the welcomes.
And turtletone, thanks for the recommendation, your pics with the blue strap do look great.   I'll definitely be picking one up.
BTW, how much of a pain (or not) is it too swap in and out the bracelet and strap?

Easy

it's super easy with a springbar tool. Takes me about 2 min to swap them. maybe a little longer the first few times you do it.
