Help identifying a 1940 platinum Patek "curvex"
Jul 04 2008,22:35 PM

I bought this elegant platinum Patek "curvex" for my wife for Christmas. The serial number dates the movement to somewhere between 1935 adn 1940. I bought it from my watchmaker who serviced it 3 times in the last 20 plus years and finally bought it from the widow of the man who owned it and wore it. He says it's all original and it looks it to me. Does anyone have catalogs or picts or info on old Pateks who can help me identify this watch? It's a beauty. It hasn't left the lock box much because my wife doesn't want to take the chance of injuring it. I think it's elegant and there's a lovely angled crystal on it. Thanks. Howard

it might be a Reference 425 as far I can tell from the pics.
It is a real "classic" from the 30ies.
Congrats!
Enjoy!

or little tile. It has a magnificent ref 9-90 movement. It still has the original facetted crystal

It is a stunning watch. I have a similar one in YG with a black dial.

Congratulations on a stunning piece of Patek
