Is the 1815 Moonphase totally unavailable?
Jul 06 2008,08:49 AM

Or it can be found (new) but the price is just ridiculous?  What was the list when it was current?

Thanks.

I can't imagine there are any more in stores...
Jul 06 2008,18:31 PM

unless they are keeping it s part of a permanent store collection.  The watch was introduced in 1999.  There were 250 RG and 150 PT.  The RG listed for $13,200 and the PT for $18,200, if I recall correctly.  A tremendous deal for such a watch, but at first they were even available for a discount from some folks who decided to part with them.  Of course, the Euro has almost doubled vs. the US dollar since then.

I asked for them to Lange some time ago,
Jul 07 2008,08:07 AM

And Lange answered me that this model was sold out since a long time...

But who knows?

Maybe you'll get the chance to see one spotting on an AD's window shop, and this will be your lucky day.

The same for the Langematik Anniversary...Too sad! LOL

Best.

Nicolas

I saw a LNIB PT one a couple of weeks ago.

It is a Patek/Rolex/Chopard AD, but they're selling it for a customer.  Around $44K, if I remember correctly.

PM me if you're interested further.

1815 Moonphase Not "Totally Unavailable"
Jul 19 2008,07:06 AM

As mentioned by others, the 1815 Moonphase sold out long ago.  However, the moonphase (both the PT and RG versions) frequently show up in auctions, at least five examples so far this year that I am aware of.  A RG sold just last week for 25,000 GBP (that includes the buyer's premium) i.e., nearly $50,000!  That was surprisingly high though, the (more expensive) platinum version has been going at auction in the low 40s lately.  That being said, the price for this relatively rare Lange seems to just keep rising and rising.

Internet dealers also often have 1815 Moonphases; do a google search to turn up sites that currently are offering it.  The prices are in the $40-50K range.

In summary, this truly amazing Lange is not "unavailable", provided you are willing to pay the price!
