I’ve taken my place with Bonaparte and Churchill…
Jul 16 2008,18:36 PM

Hi All,

I registered my La Tradition online with the Breguet Archives.  A few days later I received a parcel containing the 2007/08 Collection Catalogue (they obviously want me to buy more!) and a welcoming letter from Nic Hayek.

I assume there is a little man somewhere with an ink pot and quill adding my details to the leather bound register?

As I have not seen anyone post these before, I thought potential first time buyers of Breguet might be interested in the process.

Regards

Andrew

I am disappointed ......I am sure Tassos is disappointed....

One would think that your letter would be more comprehensive something like ............"Napoleon, Marie-Antoinette, Winston Churchill, Tassos and Jack"

May be if I lose my head or do something spectacular they will include Jack in the letters sent out in 2108.

Oh........We live in hope of eternal recognition!

Kindest regards,

Jack

You're absolutely right, Jack...

We should make a Purist register...LOL

Best.

Jack is right...

...if we do something to be remembered (for example, being executed at the guillotine, or fighting wars...LOL) THEN be 2100 we will be included in the advertisements!!!! It is a very clever thing that, anyway... I could not helped feeling proud being included in such prestigious archives.., and as I have seen in this forum, returning a Breguet pice for evaluation, Mr. Em. Breguet, of the Paris Breguet museum really gives you a complete history of the piece and registered owners... and the signature of N. hayek gives the letter another prestige... I have two such letters for the momment and next year I aspire for a third!!!
But Nicolas is also right... Maybe we should do a Purists registry!!! It even may help us, if - God forbid - Someone steal our watches!!!
Best regards
Tassos

Are you feeling inspired?

Hi Guys,

So, does membership of this exclusive ‘club’ inspire you to greater heights?

Remember, however, not to lose your heads over Breguet!

It’s an appropriate time of the year for that.

Andrew
