5827: Which Model to choose
Jul 12 2008,18:20 PM

Hi All,
I am planning to purchase 5827 Chrono in the next few months. But still undecided  which color ( model) should I choose. I am more inclined towards YG, but also like RoseGold/White Gold. Currently I have Cartier Chrono in YG and tied a bit of white gold. I would like to hear all opinions ( pros and contras) if possible.
Thank you,
Andrew

Hi Andrew....The 58.. looks great in yellow gold..

Hi Andrew....

The 58??  looks great in yellow gold.. more beautiful than you would expect of most Yellow gold watches, possibly because of the case design, as in.... the wide flat lugs .......andthe contrast of round and flat top surfaces... and the coin edge which reflects off itself and gives that rich gold look......all seem to give the gold an oportunity to reflect the colour magnificently....

Besides you have never seen a White Gold Medal at the Olympics....so Go for Gold....yellow gold.

Just my opinion

Kind regards

Jack

And thanks..That underlines in a most wonderful way my point of YG and RG over WG...
Of course "de gustibus et de coloribus..."

Hay Tassos...We agree....

We agree....Yellow, pink or red  gold ...or even stainless steel are beautiful, practical and usefull metals.

I can even, and do, love brass or bronze..... but WG leaves me cold and wondering ....but the love of a watch is like the love of a painting, and what some see as the ultimate in an art ...others see as failure in every stroke of  the artist's  brush.

Go for Gold....just as long as it is gold, yellow , red or pink

kindest regards,

Jack
