The Marine 5817 is extremely precise
Apr 21 2008,10:03 AM

i have it now for almost a year , and i am impressed by it's accuracy.

Personally, i have never seen a so accurate mechanical watch ... my IWC Portuguese Automatic 2001 was a beautiful piece of movement , but gained + 1 second a day, the IWC Portuguese chrono (3714) few seconds a week. Not to speak about my Omega Seamaster and the Cartier Pasha C who live their lives in another dimension... smile

My Breguet is keeping time almost perfectly, just losing (or gaining, who cares) few seconds a MONTH !!

This is a perfect watch for an everyday use .. with so much class.

Cheers

Samir

PS : Hi Bill, how are you.... i gave you my number in Paris, do not hesitate next time you come here wink

Bye

And extremely nice too!

I have to say it, even if some will think that Breguet is only a Vintage look, a classic watch, I appreciate a lot this Marine, as a synthesis of the old times, and the modern times...

I love the way the dial is designed, the touches of Breguet DNA...

Yes, I'm bin love with this Marine.

Congrats, Samir!

Nicolas

There are a lot of Breguet 5817 fans and with good reason

Hi Samir
Good to hear from you. I should be back in Paris over the summer I will look you up then. PM your number just in case.

Jack did some pretty serious testing in his great watch race and yes the 5817 came in on top.

Best regards

Bill

Hi Samir....I agree entirely with you on the 5817...
Apr 23 2008,04:51 AM

Hi Samir....

I agree entirely with you on the 5817...I like nice things but I really appreciate  nice things that work and do what they are supposed to do and the Breguet 5817 does everything beautifully.

There are some side effects though when you own a 5817 BA...and they are that;

·         you find your other watches just collecting dust....

·         you stop looking for the perfect watch to suit your needs and

·         you spend a lot of time just looking at the 5817...thinking that this is an amazingly beautiful creation.

A little like “When you have the best...you don’t think of the rest”

Does anyone think I am bias... of suffering from a case of Breguetitis?

Kindest regards to all,

Jack
