If an iconic piece like the Lange Datograph get "phased out" ....I care. And my feelings would usually be one of reservation, simply because if an phased out piece has reached iconic status, the replacement act is usually difficult and the bars get raised.
If a relatively inconsequential piece get phased out, like if IWC introduces another update on the TopGun crap, I couldn't care less. Actually, if one is in the market for one, one would pray that everyone would jumbo on the new piece wagon, leaving the older piece cheaper, or with greater discounts!!
