It makes no difference

Retail price is fixed by the brand.  The so-called free lunch or dinner is not necesarily organised and paid for by the brand.  In some cases (probably most cases), it is jointly organised by the retailer and the distributor.

Of course, the retailer/distributor/brand would like those who eat their food and drink their wine to buy their watches.

So, the question should be: without free lunch or dinner, would you get better discount from the retailer?

The answer is NO.  It has nothing to do with free lunch or dinner.  You just need to buy more, you will be "rewarded" with better price and free lunch and/or dinner will follow.

Regards

Ling
