Hello everyone,
I was lucky enough to see and handle the new models during SIHH and I can say that the watch is a breath of fresh air for the Swiss watch industry. I think VC should be credited for this bold endeavor to recreate the old bond that existed between VC and its patrons during the days when many watches were made to order.
The new watch line is definitely very modern in appearance and may take some time to sink in with conservatives. Of course, I think that with this design, VC is hoping to attract new and younger customers more than anything else.
The question would probably be whether you are a fan of the conservative and classical VC or the bold and audacious VC. As we all know, VC is both the keeper of traditional watch making skills and a master of mixing new ideas with such skills (as with the les masques).
If you are into the modern look, then this is just what the doctor ordered...semi-customized cases, state-of-the-art printing and safety features, solid workmanship from a top tier brand.
Of course, one must see the watch in the metal first before making any decisions.
Best Regards,
