It's a personal decision.  That's like asking what your favorite food should be.

What do you prefer? pink or white?......I'm undecide

At this level of price, if you're undecided, you'd better pass.

Really, this is too much money to take the risk to be deceived. Warmth versus Understatement? I'd go for the understatement, bbut that's me, not you, and I fear nobody else than you can decide for you. The only advice I can give you here is to try both of...

Great advice Nicolas [nt]

I know, I'm an exception but for a 5970 I would prefer Yellow gold

Bruno.M1, You are not the exception, but you are exceptional ; )

The 5970J is what I consider to be the most modern vintage iconic Patek Philippe of this the last decade....

Well

Hi, For once my pictures were better than yours! patek.watchprosite.com Cheers Dje

For me pink followed very closely by the other white metal :)

But the 5970 in any colour is a very special watch.........

If you are like me...

 By: efftee : March 9th, 2010-01:47
...it doesn't matter because the 'R' would seem nicer after I bought the 'G' and vice versa. I already know that so my final choice does not bother me before, during or after the purchase. Warped, yes. But it works for me. That said, there are few watches...

undecided

In effect I'm Undecidet because I have one "R" new and I can buy one "G" adding 13k dollars or 10k euro. what do you think about a future revaluation. excuse my non correct English.

If rarity of metal color plays a role, my opinion is that several years from now....

that J will be known as the most rare. A lot of collectors whom passed on yellow gold will wish they did'nt. My 2 cents.

Out of interest what makes you think this?????

Say for example why would this be the case when the 5970p was available from march 2009 untill my Ad received a letter in Nov 2009 stating that it was retired....Surely this must make the 5970p one of the shortest run of Grand Comps ever????? Or at very l...

The decision for me would be too close to call........

Without seeing them in the flesh. I am a W/G or Platinum kind of person. But after seeing the J & R I would not like to say. Although one thing is for sure, imo you are a winner, with whatever piece you are fortunate to have.

Both are Beautiful

I like the warmth of the R. Best regards, Bob
