Never end painful decision

If only have these two, I would choose GMT master II based on my personal rating on the outlook, calibre and overall beauty.

But if u have a Rolex already , go to a Panerai without wrong... I would suggest u also have a look on PAM88 and PAM320. Both at 44mm and in my mind more matching to overall PAM design & features.....

PAM 0244 or GMT Master II ?

I'm undecided between a PAM 0244 and a Rolex GMT Master II. I can get both from ADs for more or less the same price (Rolex +8%) but that will not be the issue. I love both designs but regarding the movement of the PAM I found that is is based on a Valjoux...

Both great watches.. I say the Pam-

Owned a GMT and loved, it. Was a good, go with anything watch. It is a noticeable watch and you will notice many on other people. A Pam however I rarely see and feel it is a more unique watch. I know you cant go wrong with either one but the Pam in the lo...

Thanks for the answer...

...but if one PAM will make me want to get another then at the end it will be more expensive than getting one GMT!!! Is the movement indeed Valjoux based?

Panerai or Rolex? What an odd pairing.....

buy the Rolex..... After all, if you want to buy a.....watch....Rolex must be the choice. Panerai is a..statement, not a timepiece...

Good point, but

That is a good thing to want more, I suppose is with any watch though. Yes the movement is Valjoux 7750-P1. They call it a Calibre OP VIII, but it is a 7750. So I guess it comes down to which really speaks to you.

Have to say the GMT

but its a tough choice uhmm only because i am not a fan of the valjoux

Interesting feedback...

...moreover coming from a PAM forum. Much appreciated for the objective (as objective one can be in a buzz-oriented topic like high end watches). Actually, and for obvious reasons, I posted the same question on the Rolex forum and got no answer. Maybe min...

I think you have no replies in the Rolex forum because they don't know

what a PAM244 is or looks like :P I'd get the PAM244 GMT over the Rolex because it's more unique IMO. If you want an even bigger size (PAM244 is 40mm), then I'd suggest taking a look at the 44mm PAM88 GMT. Good luck in your decision, and please do let us ...

Bad news guys...

all in good faith are welcomed in all forums..... the fact that you did not have a response i n the rolex forum does not mean that you were not welcomed there.... it probably means that the purist that saw your question did not have an answer for you (may...
